Hello,

My Beocenter 7002 that was working fine until last weekend stopped playing records. When pressing the Phono button you can hear a click or pop sound (some kind of relay?) after which nothing happens. I do have a record placed on the plateau and when removing the record and pressing Phono there is no pop or clicking sound therefore I believe it is not the automatic record sensing. The transport screws are completely undone. Pressing the Turn button makes the plateau spin, so that also works. Radio also works fine.

The tone arm seems to rest at the position it would be when paused above a record. The needle doesn't come down on the record itself. I tried rotating the record clock wise (with no power cable connected in the socket) but nothing seems to happen here. But maybe I'm not doing it correctly? I feel a small resistance when moving the tone arm away from the record when it is hovering above it.

Does somebody have an idea what could be wrong with my Beocenter?

Many thanks in advance,

Thijme
