Hi there,

I am new to BeoWorld and this is my first post. Recently I obtained various B&O units, namely Beosystem7000, BeoCenter9500, BeoLab 6000 and BeoLab Penta Active Loudspeakers, etc. but no any remote control.

Recently I borrowed one Beolink1000 which is working OK when in use with B&O TV set,  but no response from my units. Is there any initial setup for the remote to hook-up with audio components? I would like to test all of the units, before commit myself to buy Beolink7000.

TIA

I suppose the remote facility might be switched off - try SOUND 1 STORE on the Beolink 1000. The BM7000 should be in stand by and the red light should flash. It should then work.

Welcome to the forums!

Slim chance, but are you sure you actually have a Beolink 1000 instead of the similar looking V Terminal? (if it actually says "Beolink 1000" on the bottom and/or you have the RADIO, CD etc buttons, this is OK. The V Terminal will only work with video setups)

Other than that, it might be an option programming issue with your audio units. With the Beomaster / Beocenter on standby, press SOUND 1 STORE on the Beolink. If you're lucky, they will work with the remote after that.

edit: Peter was faster Smile

Thank you guys, your response is brilliant - everything is working now! Just serviced Beogram wire drive - seems that stylus/head MMC2 need replacement, and Beocord Cassette Deck is next to be tested. Any suggestions?

May well just work - if unlucky, you will need new belts. If you need to replace the cartridge, Axel can retip the original one at a very reasonable price.
