Been a member for a while, and have often flitted in and out, So first of hello to all.
I have always set in my mind to own a pair of Beolab 18's, and therefore I would like to set in motion and try to hunt a pair down, However I would want to keep my current system which consists of a turntable, CD player and power amp (All Pioneer). The Power amp is an M-73 which is quite unusual as no preamp is required. I currently have the CD player connected to the input section and the turntable connected via a phono stage to the line direct input as for photo attached, what this gives me is 20 watts of pure class A, The amp is switchable on the front and also the volume is controlled by the gain wheel. Is it possible to connect the Beolab 18's into my current setup?

Welcome to Beoworld (as a contributor!)
Although your power amp doesn't have pre-out sockets fitted, you can still connect the Beolab 18 speakers by one of the two methods below:-
1) Connect two speakers to the headphone socket of the power amp with this cable: https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/77-241-minijack-to-beolab-line-in-using-phono-rca-sockets-one-cable-for-two-speakers.html#/2-length-1m
2) Connect two speakers to the red and black speaker terminals on the back of the power amp using this special Attenuated Converter: https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/33-power-amplifier-to-beolab-line-in-attenuated-convertor-kit.html and then use this cable to connect the speakers to the output sockets of the Converter: https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/6-30-av-processor-pre-amp-sonos-to-beolab-rca-line-in-one-cable-for-two-speakers.html#/2-length-1m
Option 1 is cheaper, but the cable will be visible at the front of the amp and this will disable any other speakers connected to the power amp. Option 2 allows the cables to be hidden and the Beolab speakers can be used along with your other speakers for if required.

Thank you for your warm welcome and advice, But I do believe my power amp does have a pre out Which is item 5 on link to page 27 of the manual in the link, I use bubble pointer 4 inputs for the CD and phono therefore bubble pointer item 5 is not used, Can I plug the RCA cable from the Beolab 18 speaker into bubble pointer 5?

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, these sockets are fixed Line outputs, not pre-outs, ie. they aren't volume controlled. Hence, they are only for connecting a Taper recorder, they aren't suitable for connecting to Beolab speakers.

Thanks again Steve for your reply, I think I understand now, But can you please answer a couple of other points please.
a) Are the speakers left or right-handed, and can you run just 1 set of RCA from either the left or right-hand speaker, and how long a run of cable can you have?
b) If an Attenuated Converter is used, does the power amp or the activated B/L18 speakers provide the power to the B/L18?
c) If using an Attenuated Converter have an effect on the quality of the sound?
d) Will it be possible to incorporate the Beolab 19 into the system at a later stage?

No problem, each speaker receives a mono signal directly from the attenuated converter (the cable splits out to plug directly into both speakers). There is no loss of sound quality.
Yes, you can add a Beolab 19 if required at a later date - please let me know when you are ready to go ahead if you need details of this option.
