I have a pait of M70 speakers. One of the woofers makes a nois at certain frequencies. I'm not sure, but I think it's a SEAS 25F-EWX. Think it needs replacement. Is that woofer still available ? If not, is there an alternative ?

Check the rivets where the flexwires meet up with the solder tags.
The inner ring tends to break off and travel down the flexwire where it rattles around.
If this is indeed the case in your speaker, push the ring home and glue it back on.

Much easier to fix what you have than find a new one. If it is as Martin suggests (very likely knowing Martin!!) then should be an easy and cheap fix!

All four of my M70 woofers had the problem Martin describes, but I've never "heard" the rattle during use.

I might be convinced to part with a spare woofer if one of yours is damaged beyond repair.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Martin especially, because it was indeed the problem and solution he discribed. The problem is solved so now I can enjoy my M70´s again ! Some 35 years old and they sound magnificant, also due to the capacitor-kit I got from Martin a couple of years ago !

Thanks again and best regards to all of you !
