The BOFA abbreviation

Hi

I like to know what the letters in an abbreviation mean.

I have been searching the internet for an explanation of the abbreviation BOFA. I have not found it yet. Only an explanation of the whole name BOFA. Like from this website:

The headline reads:

- B&O's professionelle afdeling Bofa

In english it translates to something like: Bofa. The professional department of B&O.

My guess is that BOFA stands for:

- Bang & Olufsens Film Afdeling

or

- Bang & Olufsens professionelle Film Afdeling

Anyone know the answer?

BOFA = Bang & Olufsen Forstærker Anlæg.
(Amplifier construction/installation).

Here's the first page of a BOFA sales leaflet printed in 1931.

As Martin wrote, BOFA stands for B&O Forstaerker  Anlaeg.
