Internal speaker cables reattached, when you closed the right part of the Beocenter?
Speaker switches activated?

Hi Martin thanks for the reply, yes reconnected the speaker cables and the black cable to the left ( not sure what that does ) . Yes tried both speaker options on control panel. Is there an internal switch or plug to reset it or push back in. All the wires seem in place. Thanks

No.
If you have sound in the headphones, the amplifier is running fine.
Have you tried connecting the speakers to speaker outputs set 2?
Unplugging the headphones?

The black cable is for the antenna input.

Hi, thanks again, I’ve tried all the speaker options now, just wondering if there is a block connector I may of pulled loose. I have pushed everything back in as far as I can see. Really appreciate your help with this, starting to wish I had left the cassette alone.

The output from the amplifier is the two gray cables that you disconnected, when you opened the Beocenter.
If you opened the Beocenter without knowing that the cables need to be unplugged halfways, they could be pulled to hard and
the cables sockets (under the speaker switches) may have cracked their solder joints.

Just what I said. Their solder joints have cracked.
Resolder them.

Thanks Martin, hopefully nothing too serious then. I will wait till I have the belts and do it all at once. Thanks again.
