Hello, does anyone know if the rear DIN Line-in goes to the Beocenter pre-amp/amp? I would like to connect the Beogram 4002 record player to it and use it instead of the default player of the Beocenter. Please advise.
There are other threads on this issue,but to reiterate,the Din connection is a special in/out port,originally conceived for the connection of an external equaliser or somesuch device.There should normally be a linking "dummy" plug in place there,but if you remove it ,the sound from all sources will disappear.
You could connect your Beogram 4002 there instead,but you will need an RIAA preamplifier to boost/equalise the signal.
Ideally,connect your Beogram 4002(via a suitable pre-amp)to the TP2(PLAY) connection.You will then have all the other functions of the Beocenter too. too.
If you already have something connected to TP2,you can buy an "input expander" box,that will provide more ports.

Yes.
I imagine that the Pioneer uses RCA connections,so you just need a five pin DIN plug to four RCA connector cable,which is readily available.
The colour coding of the RCA connectors varies between maker's,so you will need to establish which is audio in and out.
Remember too,that once connected in place of the dummy plug,your mixer will need to be on alway's for any sound to come through from radio,tape or records,and the level of output from the Beocenter will be dependant upon the settings of the mixer.

There is a wide choice of RIAA pre-amps available,from cheap functional items to more esoteric "audiophile"types.
I've used the Behringer PP400 with good results.It's well made,and sounds nice too.
The item in your link is rather complicated for your needs it seems
As to cost,the Behringer retails in the U.K.for about £30,but a 'net search should produce a local source for you.
There have been many threads on this site regarding RIAA pre-amps.It might be worth you running a search and learning of other members experiences?

Thanks again for another excellent answer. Will order you tip then. I think you are right regarding the shared link amp, being rather complicated for my needs.
Btw, I have just changed the belt on the Beocenter 7007, should the silver platter on the top be attached to the belt platter underneath, or should it rest free on the top?
