All scarts are properly connected and fully working then total loss of picture. Sound is working as normal. Tapes play fine on a V6000 so no issues with them. Any suggestions?

Try scart lead, then another scart socket in the tv.

If you narrow it down to a mechanical fault, it will most likely be a pinch roller. They wear our fairly quick compared to the rest of the unit. Given its age, it isn’t worth repairing!

Tested with different scart leads and sockets. It was in full working order and used for many hours without fault immediately prior to this.

Thanks. Would the pinch roller wear out suddenly? The unit has been in use for many hours without fault in recent days.
