Slight humming noise can be heard from my Penta's II as the volume is turned all the way up with no input signal. I never listen to any music at maximum levels anyway, but It just bothers me that the noise is still present there somewhere. Even if its inaudible at lower volume levels
Perhaps I'm over reacting a bit. Just wanted to improve the situation as much as possible.
I'm using A/V 7000 as a preamp for all active speakers.
My first thought was too much a/c ripple is present on dc supply rail in Penta Amplifiers...
and to replace electrolytic caps for Hi and Low voltages...
Second thought is to replace coupling capacitors in signal path of the Panta Amplifiers
and the third is to replace op amps in A/V 7000 receiver.
Wondering if shielded Power Link cables can improve the situation a bit since my Computer Router is near by...
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thank you guys in advance.
