Beolab20, Beosound Core and wireless

I bought a set of Beolab20s with a Beosound Core with the perception that I could connect the two Beolab to the Core wireless. But this does not seem to be possible.

My question is could this maybe be frasigelse by using a Chromecast Audio connection to the Core og would I need one for each Beolab20?

I know it is possible by purchasing a Beolab Transmitter, but this is a rater expensive solution and design Wiese doesn´t complement the rest of the setup basically because it is white.

I would like to hear your opinions and suggestions to this.

I have a pair of Beolab 20's and multiple Besound Core units all of which are hard wired to the Beolab 20's as well as other Bang &Olufsen speakers throughout the house. Having previously done WISA and other wireless connection alternatives, the best solution is a hard wire connection with your 20's in my opinion. 

This is one of the limitations of the Core not to have WISA functionality build in, at least the way LG did with the C9 screens that you can plug in aUSB stick with the chips on it and software inside the Core would do he trick.

Only option is to get the B&O Wisa Transmitter I guess and connect it to the core.

I would not call that a ‘limitation’ - it is a feature that B&O choose not to built-in to the Core.

The BS Core is often hidden away - it is a hideaway-box.

Since the WiSA connection is a connection with limited range, this makes sense.

If you choose to connect a WiSA Transmitter, you will have to place that nearby where your speakers are.

You can not compare that to the WiSA Ready dongle, since that per default alway will be ‘in sight’ of the connected speakers.

By the way, B&O had WiSA in the BS Moment....because that was a device, which was placed in the room, where the speakers also are.

it is simply due to the nature of WiSA that the did not implement that in the BS Core.

For me this a limitation, because in one of my rooms I would love to avoid a cable to one of the speakers. As you said, it will be hidden away anyway because this "puck" is not designed to be present. 

Why don't give the customer the choice how you want to do this?

I agree that cost was likely a big factor. Of my B&O products, it’s the one that performs better than products that cost more. Typically, you are paying a premium for B&O design and build quality, but not so for the Core IMHO. The DAC on the Core is excellent. At par to me than the Topping D90 (which I also own). The Core + Essence Remote is only slightly more expensive than the Topping D90. The Topping does not do AirPlay 2. Anyway, the Core is great even if the Essence remote while beautiful is lying unused in my case 🙂

WISA ist primarily aimed at multi- channel applications ( i.e. Home Theatre)

Incorporating a WISA transmitter as standard in a TV makes sense but not in an stereo Audio piece of kit like the Core. The few users who make want/need this can add a transmitter.

Thanks - it seems the only Way toget a High waf (wife acceptance factor) is to buymthe transmitter. This is judging by all the great repliks I´ve grotten.

..... and with a TR1 you can also open the WISA world to other sources than the Core such as B&O powerlink products or other brand products with volume controlled RCA or optical output.
