Hi Beoworlders,
I am looking for a new system for my Lab 9's to replace an aging AVR receiver from Denon. Im interested in getting the best possible quality signal to my 9's. I listen only to Digital audio (Tidal HIFI/Roon/Flac) so a good internal DAC, MQA support, HDMI CEC, Headphone AMP is features im looking for and to eliminate chances for noise/hum in the system as I have had problems with that alot during my time with the Denon.
Preferably the new system should be as much All-in-one and compact as possible, but high quality (DAC/Streamer/Preamp/HDMI CEC for TV-sound/Room correction)
The systems I am considering is Lyngdorf TDAI 2170, Bluesound Node 2i, Beosound Core, Nad C 358, Oppo UDP-203/205.
Any experiences you can share with regards to parings with preamps/amps/streamers would be very much appreciated.
Im leaning towards Lyngdorf TDAI 1120/2170/3400 mostly at the moment, because of an All digital and low noise build (hopefully less hum/hiss), and built in Room correction. If anyone uses such system I would like to hear your experience with Beolabs.
Thanks guys
Thanks for your answer.
I don't own a Beovision like you unfortunatly.
Have you tried using the Lyngdorf as preamp without the Beovision? Speakers connected to the Lyngdorf.
I use a TDAI-2170 with a Beolab 8000/11 combo: with cables from soundsheavenly :-)
I've connected them over the analog out on the Lyngdorf: analog out to powerlink in on the 11 sub and then from the sub powerlink cables to the 8000's. This has almost no hissing, only when you come really close to the speakers.
Roomperfect on the Lyngdorf is superb. It makes the stereo image of your speakers so much better.
Thanks Richard, great to know that it is possible to connect a subwoofer aswell. Didn't know that.
Room Perfect is the main reason I want this, as I have bad acoustics in my place. Thanks for the input.
I will be looking I think at the TDAI 1120 with room perfect thats just released.
Can I ask if you tried anything else before the Lyngdorf to compare? And why you didn't go with like a Beosound Core or something else.
No I haven't tried anything else to be honest. I'm more from the 'traditional' hifi setups I guess. But I just love the B&O designs.

Actually I use the Lyngdorf directly connected to the Beolab 5 in SPDIF. The Beovision is useless in the music chain in my case (it just gives me integration facility with the rest, but the Beolab 5 has its own volume control if you want to use them with 3rd party hardware). The source is a mac mini running Tidal/Qobuz inside Audirvana, connected to the USB input of the Lyngdorf. The chain is 100% digital from the source to the DAC built in the Beolab 5. I bought the TDAI 2170 exactly for the same reason than you, expecting the Room Perfect feature would have a positive impact regarding room/speakers adequation. It blown me away more that I would have expected !
I was considering several solutions, like Trinnov ST2 HIFI for example. But, to me, you need to be an engineer in acoustic to be able to set them up. The Lyngdorf, beside the fact it is danish like B&O is, has the same kind of "keep it simple for an average end user". In that way, even if it is some kind of "swiss knife", my 6 years old daughter would be able to set it up (well, almost ;-) )
