Hi there guys,

I am just replacing a load of capacitors from Dillens amazing service kit. I am looking at the Tantalum capacitors and wondering about the polarity.

I am a bit of a newbie when it comes to this so I just want to make sure my research is correct.

The tantalum capacitors  on the Beomaster 1200 are marked with a white dot. Am I correct in saying that the if I face the white dot towards me, then the positive polarity is to the right of the dot?

Thanks

Matt

Pins down, then yes.
The new tantals will have lettering on the same side.
Most even have a small +-sign near the positive pin, and the pins are often different lenghts.

Hi there

So like this?

noticed the plus sign on the new ones so all good there. Albeit I probably need new glasses.

Thanks

Matt
