Hey fellas
I'm on my quest to acquire my first B&O equipment and I'm having a quite delightful situation between a mk2 and a mk3 at almost similar price.
Obviously I want the mk3 but it appears to have an issue of CDs scratching against the "arm"

Is it fixable?
All help is appreciated as a newcomer :)
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
Hi and welcome to Beoworld,
You'll discover that in that area (almost) all is fixable!
In your case, its difficult to say but it could be as easy as adjusting the clamper height (two screws) or more complicated as the optical disc (in the clamper) twisted. Do the discs revert to position as set after they're read ?
On a different note, unless you really need N.Music and N.Radio, with i doubt if its your first B&O material, there is no reason to choose MK3 over MK2.MK2 laser is easy to replace when it fails, MK3 is not. There is a little exception to that rule you can learn about on the forum, but its something worth considering.
Cheers.
Thanks for the reply.
It's the sellers video, he appears to be smart enough to know it too.
I've read three different manuals and watched several videos trying to find a solution to the subject, feels like I've gotten a half degree in the engineering of the device by now haha
Thank you, it would be interesting if that is all that is wrong.
Hey
Thank you, if that's the definitive difference between the two, I will push for the mk2 as it seems to be near perfect condition.
Have a great day
