The tone arm on my Beogram 5000 hits the record a few mm to far out, i.e on the blank part of the record.
The manual simply says:"Adjust the eccentric N until correct 30 cm touch down point."
"Adjust with arm P until correct 17 cm touch down point the eccentric N until correct 30 cm touch down point."
No, it's not that area on the first picture (That's for hight of the needle to the record). You find the adjustments on the lever (1606 etc) which moves the tonearm. You have to open the cabinet to get access. But more often, I have seen a broken tonearm hinge, which is the culprit.
Ok, would be a broken tonearm hinge be easily visible? See pictures. Also, if I have to open the cabinet, how do I do that? There are some screws on the backside, can't see any other.
OK..not exactly the answer I was hoping for.. By the silver and black part do you mean on the front of the arm just behind the pickup? Is something broken and needs a spare part or can it be adjusted if I open the panel?
