Hey guys!

I need some advice on audio system config.

I have B&O Beolab 8000 (with RCA) + Denon PMA-600NE (presumably doesn't work with active speakers, lol).

All I wanna is to hear magnificient sound through my Beo 8k, with signal coming from vinyl player like Audio technica AT LP120XUSBBK (also RCA) and occasionally from my PS4 (it has Toslink).

What should I get to commutate this all in one almighty sound system? :)

You can do the following -

1. Connect Audio Out (Recorder) from Denon to Beolab 8000. - RCA

2. Connect Audio Technica Audio Out to Denon Audio In. - RCA

3. Connect PS4 Toslink to Digital in on Denon. - Toslink

Just need the right cables. Reach out to Steve at Sounds Heavenly for good quality cables.

Already tried 1 and 3.

Turns out that in that case I can't control the signal on Denon.

No volume control, no L/R balance, no Equalizer =\

Hi vedmich,

Welcome to Beoworld.  If you have no volume control then you may be using the wrong output sockets on the receiver.  The pre-out sockets should be adjustable via the receiver remote.

Please feel free to click on my sponsor link below if you need any help with the cables to get everything working.

Kind regards, Steve.

Thanks Steve!

Denon actually has Speakers Clemmas on OUT.
Should I try and cut the one side of RSA to commutate it via those clemmas?

Hi,

Yes, I can help!  Although your receiver doesn't have pre-out sockets fitted, you can still connect the speakers by one of the two methods below:-

1) Connect two speakers to the headphone socket of the receiver with this cable: https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/77-241-minijack-to-beolab-line-in-using-phono-rca-sockets-one-cable-for-two-speakers.html#/2-length-1m

2) Connect two speakers to the red and black speaker terminals on the back of the receiver using this special Attenuated Converter: https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/33-power-amplifier-to-beolab-line-in-attenuated-convertor-kit.html and then use this cable to connect the speakers to the output sockets of the Converter: https://soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/6-30-av-processor-pre-amp-sonos-to-beolab-rca-line-in-one-cable-for-two-speakers.html#/2-length-1m

Option 1 is cheaper, but the cable will be visible at the front of the receiver and this will disable any other speakers connected to the receiver.  Option 2 allows the cables to be hidden and the Beolab speakers can be used along with your other speakers for surround sound if required.

Please set both speakers to “Line” mode using the small switch near the input sockets.

Kind regards, Steve.
