Hi all,
I recently got a lovely pair of BeoLab 9's. I'm enjoying them very much but there is an annoying issue. When I want higher or lower volume with the Beo4 there is a strange clicking noise comming from both speakers. It seems to be related to the tapping of the volume up/down as the noise is not there when I hold the button down or up.
The speakers are hooked up to my BeoVision 8 - 40 in a masterlink connection with a BeoSound 3000. The problem is not present when I press volume up/down on the BeoSound 3000.
Any ideas?

Seems like the problem is in the BV8 or the masterlink. Software update could help?

Thank you all for the aswers. I am using brand new MK3 cables for the Lab 9's. The funny thing is that I had BeoLab 3's connected through the exact same MasterLink cable in the same setup with no problems. I guess I will live with it - it is very subtile.

If you are using Powerlink mk.3 cables, then these shouldn't be the cause of the problem. Correctly wired mk.2 cables from a reputable supplier can also be used, as they should have the additional ground wire fitted that is required for Beolab 3, 9 and other ICE Power speakers.
These pulses sound like the Datalink information that registers the new volume level, which are transmitted through mk.2 cables, but not mk.3 cables.
If your Beolab 3 speakers didn't have this problem, but the Beolab 9's do, then there shouldn't be an issue with the system or the cables, although it is possible that a cable isn't fully plugged in at one of the sockets. Are you connecting the speakers via a subwoofer?
It may be worth trying a replacement cable and plugging in one speaker at a time to see when the problem is present and when it disappears. If you need any further help, please feel free to ask.
