Hi
I have looked in the ML handbook but this scenario isn't listed.
I have 3 rooms next to each other (Bar, Lounge, Kitchen), all more or less open plan.
I have a BeoSound 9000 with BL 8000s in the lounge and a BL3500 connected via ML in the bar.
Having so much B&O I am wanting to use some of the spare items.
I want to add a BeoSound 4 with Beolab3's in the kitchen. Would it be possible to masterlink the BS9000 to the BS4. I want all 3 rooms to play the same music if I want. This is what happens at the moment in the lounge and bar. Only difference with the BS4 is that I want it to play what the 9000 plays but also be able to play from its CD and SD card for the kitchen if I want. The 9000 doesn't need to play what the BS4 is playing.
Will masterlinking the units make this possible?
Thanks for the help.
Ben
You can only have one Master in a ML-setup.
This means, that you can only listen to what plays on the Master in all rooms.
The second BS must be a link product (option 6) and can only be listened to locally in it’s own room.....you can not distribute any of its sources to the Master orvthe Linkroom/3500.
You will have to decide which one is Master and which one is Slave.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thanks for your reply MM. I understand what you are saying. I don't want the 2nd BS to play in the other rooms. I just want to be able to hear the music from the Master BS in all the rooms. My only question is that will the 2nd BS still be able to play is own CD in the room it is in? I.e. only for listening in that room?
Yes, indeed it will!
Thank you so much MM
