Hi All,
I am new to Bang & Olufsen equipment and have some pretty basic questions so please be kind. Any and all advice if welcome.
I was walking through my local thrift store and saw the most majestic looking sound equipment ever. I had found a Bang & Olufsen Beogram 5500! I got the CD Player, Record Player, Cassette Player & Amplifier. Only one problem since I am a rookie to this amazing brand No master control panel came with it. So now I am scouring the internet in hopes to buy one but boy they are hard to locate. If anyone has any idea where I can purchase one I would be forever grateful! I feel like I will never need another piece of for my home as long as I can repair what I have when it breaks.
The other question I have is the speaker ports in the amplifier are tiny little holes is there some sort of special wire I need to buy to plug in?
Again thanks in advance if anyone can help me I would be forever grateful!
The speaker sockets are standard 2-pin DIN ("pin and spade").Nothing special about that. Actually they are the only industry standard connectors for home stereo speakers in the world. It's everything else, bare wires, twist and push fittings, bananaplugs and whatnot that is non-standard.
Ebay!Also for the MCP5500.

I will keep and eye out on eBay. That was my go to. Thanks for the intel on the sockets.

The Beosystem 5500 can also be controlled by the Beolink 1000 (but more for daily use) and it seems it can be be controlled by the Beo4 remote too.
Beolab Pentas or Beolab 5000s would make excellent speakers for your system,
