Hi there

Will it play music via the buttons?

If it does not respond to the remote perhaps its in the wrong option mode remote and stereo.

Also from memory one LED is for showing on off status and the other is for timer

Long time since I had a 3000 (22 years)

Try pressing radio and see if radio comes up in the display which will indicate that it is on

Hi,

What Seanie said.
But if the unit don't work from the keyboard, The symptoms you experience are those of a fried unit. I don't know if it is the EEprom or the microcomputer, but its an internal component who tends to fry sometimes. I have one like that and there's some other reports of that on the forum.

As far as i know it's an expensive repair if even still available and without DIY solution.

I hope i'm wrong.

Browsing the TM you should see something like IC error or something, can't remember well. But something you could understand as microprocessor or EEprom error. Then nothing you can do appart from using it for parts, I'm afraid.

JNielsen:
1 IOP 19

IOP: Last error in the I/O microprocessor =  19: TP module HW error APOS

Can't help much more but it seems to be an hardware error. Don't know what TP and APOS are.

I fixed a broken rubber elastic for the LOAD of CD. It works again to load the CD.

Can that be the hardware problem that need to be reset ?
