i have ordered a replacement remote as minepacked up faulty button connection.consequently i have no tv for a few days.. Last time this happened to me i was able to manualy select the channel by by pressing a button at the back of the tv, why is this facility not available now

Can’t you use the Bang & Olufsen app for basic controls?
Of course the tv must be online/on your home network for this to work.
