Hi all.
Anyone know where to get a BS9000 backup battery ? Or at least know the specs. I have a BS9000 with a leaking(white supstance) battery, it measures 3.18v, but I think it should be changed before making anymore damage.
It is a 3 legged upright button cell with orange edge, and I can find some that looks like it, but with yellow edge, and all seems to be some sort of china version, which I find weird ?
In the service manual, B1 is marked as "specially adapted version".

I know it is a 3 volt battery. Does your battery look like the one below
Regards Keith....

Yes, but with orange edge. There is 10mm between the 2 legs on same side, and battery is 25x25mm in size.
It is a Battery Lithium CR2430 3V 270mAh UL and when it says "specially adapted version" it means the legs were added.
I do not know the meaning of the orange edge, if it does have a meaning..

It has a B&O part number of 8700027

Yes, but dealers in DK will not sell spare parts :(

Yes, this battery fits 100%, and it is easy to solder out the old and insert the new :)
I have replaced my old orange battery with this blue, and you were correct, in that the old states CR2430 3v, just like then new.
I have no idea what this colour indication is all about :)
Beosound 9000 works just like before, and funny thing is, that it remembered the time during the short period of battery change, had no radio stations stored, so I could not test if these were remembered also.
The coloured edge is just an isolation. It’s positive charged at the edge.
