I’ve been tempted to source an eclipse sound center for my lg Cx 55 - ‘logically’ b&o shouldn’t make the control software differently for the stage / eclipse / harmony - so if the stage now works with the cx, the eclipse soundcentre should.
... well that’s my theory. B&o stores and Denmark haven’t confirmed. Denmark said it’d have “less functional”
What’s the gap today that B&o will be closing later this year Chris - software & hardware changes ?
Chris Townsend:The Eclipse will get an update later on this year, so you can interchange panels as technology developes .
We knew this already Chris? We discussed that back in March :) It then got delayed.
I'm really happy with my GX + Stage + BeoRemote setup. No need for an Eclipse.
If/when this is going to happen,
The Eclipse will imo be a really good buy compared to the Stage.
And if it is only a software update I am going to upgrade my Eclipse panel at once, so I am ready for the PS5.
Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence

How have you come to this conclusion? I bought a GX 65" + Stage + BeoRemote, as part of a package deal, for only £4100. Latest panel, decent speaker and works well with the remote for half the price of the 55" version.
I did not say that it would be cheaper.
But Imo you get more for your money.
A 7.1 surround processor
A Really good center speaker/Or TV speaker
Much better integration, feels much more like a Beovision
Option for a motorstand
Better looking (IMO)
And you also get the very important PUC control, or at least for me it is.
I'd tend to agree.
Not sure there is much mileage in the like for like comparison.
Certainly the Stage has given people more options, and that is welcome, especially with the GX which looks magnificent.
But the Eclipse sound centre offers a good deal more.

Doesn't affect the UK and lack of Sky Q control, PUC or otherwise, whether this is the Eclipse or GX.
I do agree it probably looks better, but I love the GX on the wall as it sits flush and I don't want to spend £10K+ on a 65" TV :) I can buy 2 x GX for that and did (GX 55" and GX 65", both with Stage's).
Here's the 65", but not this is 'work in progress' as it's only just been setup and there's cables to sort etc, yet.
The boxes are currently driving the GX 55" in the other room (they go through the wall!).
Annoying window reflections!
That is why I write IMO, as I would never go for a small soundbar for sound.
But good that B&O can supply both.
But very nice to see that you went for the wood finish it is very nice!

It is! The other one in the other room is Bronze Tone version. I'm using the other room with the 55" for now. From October, during the winter months, I'll switch to this smaller room with the 65".
And the 'finished' 55" GX in the other room! Funny how the windows reflect so much during the day. Had to take this at an angle.
Looks stunning
B&O in my life 😊:

I went to look at the GX model yesterday because many have raved about it. No concerns re picture quality or connections etc but I am put off by the LG sensor/badge (or whatever it is) at the middle of the bottom of the screen. Too much of a distraction for me. I am considering a W9 if anything but I am also intrigued to see the new Horizon in October. I do agree with the above that the Eclipse is the better looking solution albeit more costly.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

In no way shape or form is that distracting? How can a little notch in black be distracting on a huge 65" TV? I’ve not even given it a second thought.
Chris Townsend:Got a mint black BeoVision 10-40 and new BeoRemote for £500, as a stopgap in the end.
BV10-40 is a great TV. I miss the orange fret!
