I know one can change the bass, treble etc. settings when using a link speaker such as 3500 with the wireless 1 but a friend of mine says that if you connect like BL8000's to a Wireless 1 you can adjust the bass, treble etc. just for those speakers without interfering with the settings in the source unit. That the wireless 1's have their own Bass, treble etc. settings built in. Is that correct?

The manual says if the reciever is connected to PowerLink Speakers
To adjust bass, treble or loudness...
> Press LIST repeatedly until A.SETUP* (or V.SETUP* for a video source) is shown in the display.
> Press GO to be able to adjust settings.
> Press LIST repeatedly until BASS, TREBLE or LOUDNSS is shown in the display.
> Press ▲ or ▼ to adjust the setting.
> Press GO to select the setting.
To store sound settings permanently – making a new preset start-up level ...
> Press LIST repeatedly until S.STORE* is shown in the display.
> Press GO to store settings permanently.

I did see that but I am just surprised because you won't know what level the bass or treble is at as there is no screen to indicate the levels. So even if you store it, you won't know what level it is? It just seems like something B&O wouldn't do.
Ahhh, I thought you were surprised because you could change the settings on the Wireless 1 as opposed to any other Link product.
This has been possible on the Beolink Active and Passive setups, which have been around far longer. The lack of screen for feedback wasn’t/isn’t a problem with them. My Beolab 2000’s can be adjusted and there is no screen there. I also have a Beolab 15/16 setup in my dining room. That runs of Masterlink to and Amplifier 1 and again, that can be adjusted with no screen for feedback.
I suppose it would be too expensive and impractical to have some sort of screen for showing the settings. The Wireless 1 is basically a Beolink Active without the wires.
Well yes I was surprised that it was possible and its a nice surprise, I just didn't think it would be something B&O would have done.
