Hi Folks,

Used Plugplayer, Twonky, eLyric etc with my iPhone to connect to BeoMaster 5 without any problem for a long time until my BM5 went to repair.

Once back and fully working the apps no longer see the BM5 on the local network.

A real mystery to me as the BM5 seems to be configured correctly (Music Server is selected, BM5 is on the same network as the iPhone). Reinstalled the app, but it didn't help.

Anyone a clue on what happened and how to solve the problem?

Thanks.

Make sure your BM5 is registered with Bon, and cd ur PC to ensure the BM5 shows as a shared folder BMSHARE$.

BM5 is registered with Bonjour and it shows as shared folder BM-SHARE$.

Audio Master is set to YES and both iPhone and BM5 are on the same network.

I really don't get it. Worked fine previously and now doesn't anymore.

Anything to do with iPhone iOS update from 5 to 6?

See in the set-up of the BM5 if It has a serial number.

No serial no updates.

missing updates can be the cause of your problem

Everything seems fine with the serial number and update (see picture attached).

Thought I knew everything with the system, but there is one piece of the puzzle missing.

Maybe the IP address has changed, and the iPhone app has the old one cached?

Tried 2 iPhones, one of them had never been used to connect to BM5. So the IP is not the cause.

Doublechecked the BM5 parameters. Cannot find anything wrong.

Some (as yet) unidentified thing is prevented the BM5 to communicate with the smartphones, while both are on the same wifi network
