B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.
The downside of user replaceable battery is shorter battery life and from what I know all high end headphones or consumer electronics are going with sealed batteries. My older H9i had replaceable battery which I never replaced and the H9 3rd gen which does not have replaceable battery is better in every way.
You can't please all the people all the time 🙂
B&O in my life 😊:
In the US you can ship them to get the battery replaced based on my experience. The same as I would do with an iPhone or a Bose product etc...

Mikipidia:Beoplay is done, everything is just B&O now. They did that about a year ago. My gen 2 h4’s had no beoplay markings on them nor did the new a1 or last h9i even iirc.
I promptly ordered a limited edition H95 set on 8/27 via an email link and was pleasantly surprised when my H95s were delivered within 24 hours on 8/28. I don't believe the limited edition adds anything more than a small engraved number on the case [and the headset] (46/95 in my case), so I wouldn't be too disappointed if one did not get that version. I think the benefit of limited aspect of it is more or less in getting it on 8/28 instead of 9/10.
All that said, the H95 is utterly fantastic and I'm supremely happy with it. I'll leave the sound quality impressions for others to make (I suspect they will mirror my own impressions and be rather positive), but I wanted to point out two things about the H95 that others may overlook in their comments. To give my background, I have a pair of H6 (which broke after a long life) and H9i. The H6 is my gold standard in headphone comfort, and as much as I loved the ANC and wireless aspect of the H9i, they are not as comfortable on my head as the H6. The H9i feels heavier and bulkier than the H6. The H95 however, is notably more comfortable on my head than the H9i and approaches the comfort of the H6. Frankly, I'm not sure how this is the case. Perhaps the H95 is lighter than the H9i (I did not check) or more balanced, but ultimately I do not know. Then again, the how my not matter because the end result is an extremely comfortable pair of headphones. Also, I wanted to comment on the compact size of the H95. I've often found the H9i to be rather sizable when stowing for travel. In contrast, the H95 is much more compact when folded, which makes it a fantastic travel companion (especially with the stunning performance of its ANC).
So do I have any gripes? None so far; I'm extremely pleased with the H95!
that should be so. Look at this video .... time 4:25

the numbers are on the case and on the side as your picture
I am waiting for mine order .... maybe 96
The end of waiting. My order was delivered.
I have the number 14/95 and the big difference to the normal black and grey version is that the speakercover and the screws behind the earcups are in rosegold. That looks very very nice to my other limited Edition H6 from 5 years ago.
Aussie Michael:Beophile does your number also appear on the arm on the side as per this picture?
Yes, my H95 does have the number on the arm as you pointed out. I overlooked that in my previous post.

I completely agree with your assessment of the sound and feel. Though I should add that I did hold both the H95 and H9i's in each hand, and the H95 is heavier. It just works so great on the head that the slight added weight isn't an issue, and maybe less noticed.
Part of the reason I think that the sound compares similar to the H6 has to do with the way B&O angled the drivers of the headphones. I've owned H6's, H7's, H9i's and now H95. H6 & H95 are the only ones that have these angled drivers, and I feel that helps a lot in imaging.
I am upset that B&O didn't send me the engraved set, even though like you it's what I ordered. I'm also very surprised by how quickly they came. So if you want to exchange your numbered set for my un numbered one ;)
I am trying to work with B&O to get a properly numbered set. Their email support has been very difficult this time. I end up getting a new person every time, and I've been walked around in circles over and over regarding my order. It's honestly quite frustrating. I was told that there are still 6 engraved versions still floating around their distribution centers. I keep asking that I can set up an exchange, but they keep asking me to go for a refund. I keep telling them that I want what I paid for.
.
Present: BL90, Core, BL6000, CD7000, Beogram 7000, Essence Remote.
Past: BL1, BL2, BL8000, BS9000, BL5, BC2, BS5, BV5, BV4-50, Beosystem 3, BL3, DVD1, Beoremote 4, Moment.
I believe they are using Beoplay as naming convention rather than a sub-brand I suppose. For instance the A9 is still called Beoplay A9.
Anyway, I just got myself on the notification list for the H95. If it's as good as it's made out to be, it'll be a bargain at $800. I prefer headphones now for serious music listening and these will (hopefully)replace my Focal Stellia AND H9 3rd gen - The Stellia sound great but I prefer wireless now and the H95 seem like a nice upgrade over the H9s 🙂
seethroughyou:H95 looks smart. Is that a Beocenter and Beogram in the background? They look stunning.

Beocenter 9000, Beogram 9000, and Beolab Penta Mk I :)
I sent my H95's back on Friday, I'm looking forward to getting the engraved set like I paid for. Though it may take some time for that to happen, so I'm using my H9i for now.
Personally I really liked the H95 sound. I found that some people who replied to my video did not like the sound, and felt it had too much bass and not enough clarity on the high end. I agree that the bass is strong with this one, but I found a lot of clarity with the high end.
I received my replacement engraved H95 headphones today!
It's very cool to see the golden accents of the engraved version. I'm very glad that this got worked out. Though I do have to say that I wished B&O's email support would assign one person to a case. I dealt with at least 11 different people on the support team, and many times it felt like I was walking in circles. So it feels really good to have this taken care of.

The sound comes from the band vs the headphones? Strange.
Will be interesting to see, how the H95 will (or can?) compete with the new Apple AirPods Max now they're out:https://www.apple.com/airpods-max/And if B&O can keep their pricepoint.
And unlike B&O there's no need for colourful special editions .5 colours to choose from right now.

mr_anders_son: Pretty ugly No way near H95 design wise....
Pretty ugly
No way near H95 design wise....
To me the design of the H95 looks quite old fashioned and outdated compared to the Max. But I guess this is just a matter of taste. What I probably don't like about the Max are their earcushions made out of fabrics instead of leather.
I used to think that, too. E.g. Sennheiser HD5xx/6xx pads get grungy, even though they are black so you can't see it. But I changed my mind: I just buy new ones as necessary, and the foam (underneath) compliance gets renewed up-to-spec along with the fabric -- which does affect the sound! Even (for an expensive example) Focal Clear's use UltraSuede cloth, not leather. (Definitely a matter of taste, by the way -- those Apple hamburger-buns look as old-fashioned as radio DJ Koss Pro-4/AA phones from 1970. I thought they looked goofy the first time around...)

Outdated??
Max look more futuristic outdated for me.
Who wants to wear them on the street except a carpenter??
I think the little knob to change volume on the Max is the worst thing, looks outdated and not easy to use compared to our big tactile volume wheels.
and non-user replaceable battery in such a big thing (where a system to open a cap and hide the battery can be made) is just a way to make you spend 95€ In servicing after 4 years of (intensive) use.
Hi Beoworlders,
I thought a full review of the H95 could be helpful, I have added this to my YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/LWf_3SRIbtM
Please let me know how this compares to your views of the H95?
Kind regards, Steve.

Hi, I am a new member of Beoplay forum. I bought the H95 about ten days ago.
I'm wearing glasses on daily bases and I noticed a slight lack of sound quality when I hear H95 with glasses on, mainly, but not only, on sub bass that become thinner.
Did someone of you notice the same thing?
Any solution or workaround?
Is it possible that use of H95 make pads "adjusting" to my glasses' shape?
Tank you in advance (and sorry for my English)
I just reserved my h95.
i have one question neither the manual nor sales rep could answer.
what exactly is the benefit of the MFi certification? It’s Bluetooth and shouldn’t need it, as it doesn’t have a lightening connector anyway.
is the pairing process to an iPhone the same as other Bluetooth headsets, or does it have some trickery up it’s sleeve, like AirPods?
