I'm from the UK and used to masonary walls so wanted to ask before I make a mistake here but B&O tvs are made of proper materials like glass (not plastic) and therefore weight quite a bit more than normal consumer ones, especially when they're a foot away from the wall and thus adding more torque,
My main concerns before I proceed with doing a wall fitting myself:
1) Are hole positions and stud distances standard everywhere? Ie do the holes on the Danish made wall brackets line up with the stud positions in the US?
2) Would I be better bolting a wooden mounting plate to the wall? Or opening the dry wall and adding a beam between the vertical studs?
3) I'd rather use new bolts/screws than recycle ones that have already been stressed, what sort of spec are they?
Answers as I found
1) The bracket actually has multiple holes designed to fit presumably everywhere
2) The larger tv brackets have 4 points so it is itself the bracing between 2 studs. For my BV7 which has a single line of vertical holes, I drilled a bracing piece of wood onto the wall because the wallmount rotates and applies tortion. Luckily I still had some of the paint for that wall in a jar in the toolshed.
3) The spec on bolts is high enough that it's not a concern.
