Hello!

I finally purchased a Bang & Olufsen television! I got a great deal on a current eclipse.

I’m running to a few issues though.

for the life of me, I can’t seem to get the eclipse to add to the B&O app. They are on the same network, I can connect Bluetooth audio, restarted multiple times, but it always fails to add to the app. Up to date on all software as well.

Any ideas?

also, it says it has airplay, but I can’t seem to find it in my AirPlay list.

Did you try a factory reset on the Eclipse?

BV Harmony 65 / Eclipse 55 / BL 50 / 19 / 18 / BS 2 all brass

BV Horizon 48 / V1 40 / BL 17 / Beoplay S3 all black

V1 / BL 3 / BS Essence MKII / Beoplay A3 all white

BS Moment / BS 3000 / BS 3200 / BL 400 all silver

Headphones / bluetooth speakers / BLC NL-ML / BLGateway

I know…B&O virus has grown on me !

That worked! I just couldn’t find the factory reset button, but I found it!

Does anyone usually turn on all three center channel speakers for a full center when you have separate wireless speakers or are you supposed to turn the left and right soundcenter off?

Congrats on your Eclipse! I’m jealous!

Would you be comfortable sharing what your “great deal” was? I’m trying to garage the market myself and it would help.

I believe the idea is to use the LCR in the sound center all as C if you have separate standalone speakers but Geoff Martin recently suggested in an interview that you might prefer the sound when you use the sound center LCR all as C but decrease the sound center L and R speaker levels by 0.5 or 1db to effectively bring the C in the center channel a bit more forward.

I think he would also encourage you to experiment and say that whatever sounds best to you is what you should stick with! Again, cheers.

Currently: BeoLab 17, BeoLab 18, BeoSound Core, Beosound Level, Beosound A1 2nd Gen, BeoPlay S8 Connection Hub, Halo, Essence Remote

Previously: BeoSound 1 non-GVA
