Hello,
i bought a Beomedia 1 and it was shipped quiet fast. But unpacking there was some rumble to hear
Opening the Case revealed that the power supply board had loosened and felt off the power connector on the mainboard. Seems no big problem but there's also a small cable from the PCI card routed to under the power supply board. This cable with two seperate pins was also loose on the system board near the pins for FIR (5 pin) and the System managemant bus (SMB connector 6 pin).
So my question is does someone know to what pins the cable has to be routed or would one of the Beomedia owners be so kind to have a look where the two cable headers are connected? The power supply board has to be lifted from it's socket to see the cable headers.

I have been unable to open up my Beomedia, but if you let me know how to open up the box I will be only too pleased to look and find a reply to your question.

Hi Ron,
to open the case you have to turn it upside down. Then all Torx screws have to be taken out and the turn the case again. Then the lower part and the rear can be pulled out without any problems. The rubberfeet are mounted to the upper part of the case which wraps the lower part.

I have managed to get the case open and find the wire going underneath the power board, but unfortunately the power board seems to be glued into its socket and I cannot get it out. As a result I am unable to find out where the cable plugs in on the main board.
Sorry unable to get any further with this as I am afraid of doing some damage to the main board.
Will re-box the Beomedia now as it is waiting for a buyer.
thank you for your efforts. The power Board is not glued to the mainboard but there's a latch on the connector which keeps them together. f fitted correct which wasn't the case in my Beomedia.
finally found the solution in the archived forum for my question! Took some time to go through all the results but it was worth.
Under this entry one can find a complete sketch of the wiring of the components of BeoMedia 1 Thanks to Beobuddy! And there's the loose cable i found. It's used for transfering digital Audio from Mainboards SPDIF output to the Masterlink PCI Board input.
The Operatingsystem is now on Service Pack3, IE 7 and Flash Player 11.5, K-Lite MediaCodec Pack
and RAM Upgrade to 512 MB i still had lying around.
So machine finally complete, up and running

Pleased to hear that you rectified the problem. My Beomedia is back in it's box ready to sell as I did not have all the information to set it up, and it was too complicated to work out what to use it for.
