hello everyone,

I'm here asking for some help, here in my town some guy are selling a "Beogram 1800" for $800 bucks, here's the link:

http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx/MLM-413927093-tornamesa-bangolufsen-_JM

With cartridge and needle(in the pictures isn't show), but seems the belt need to be replaced.

My questions are:

It's a good deal?

It's easy to find the belt? I've searching and seem there's two models of beogram 1800, so, How can I distinguish wich model of belt must need, I found this page:

http://www.turntablebasics.com/belts/bangandolufsen.html

Or Someone here can sell me the right belt for this turntable?

By the way, I'm living in Mexico city but I have "paypal" account to made the payment

The price is 1500 MXN, ( USD 120) the cartridge is missing, the seller dont even know what a cartridge is, I would buy for MXN 300 (USD 25.00)

That is an ABSURD amount of money to pay even if it included a cartridge, and the cover appears to have a crack accross it as well. AVOID!!!!!

Welcome to Beoworld !

The cartridge should be a fairly standard SP type. Easily found on Ebay.
The belt is a round cross-section type. I don't have that. (The other Beogram 2000 uses a flat type belt, which I have).
The dustcover, I'm sure I can find a good used one in the dungeons.

Lovely deck and not all too common but as-is, I agree, a bit overpriced.
It will most likely need a good motor service too, this is one of the one-phase AC motor models.
Maybe the belt is missing to "hide" that the motor has seized in dried lubricants.

Also note that this appears to be a 50Hz version.
