steve1977:I own two BS1, both the GVA version (i don’t use GVA though as it cannot be distributed via NL). I have three questions: 1) One of the BS1 can join streams nicely (by tap), while the other doesn’t do it. I realized that the second doesn’t show the white dot in the middle of the tap interface. 2) Any chance to turn off the white dots for the “favorites”. They’re google only, so i have no use for them. 3) Is there a comprehensive guide for all touch features. It seems that BS1 and A9 behave differently on different touches. Any full view?

1) Have you tried a factory reset? That may cure problems.
2) I was under the impression that the dots where only lit, when Google Assistant was configured. Is that not the case?
3) There are not that many different touches: Swipe left / right to shift channel or track. Tap to join. Double tap to change source. Long press to shut down all devices.

steve1977:Thanks, very helpful. If the BS1 is unplugged, it goes to standby after one hour. Any way to wake it up without turning it on in the bottom of the device?
StKong:If you have the power cord attached, you can flick the switch on the socket. That will turn it on without needing to lift it and pressing the button underneath
Thanks. Not sure I understand. What do you mean by "flick the switch"? I thought I can just tap to join as long as the BS1 is attached to the power cord.
What about if I don't have the device powered (running on batteries). Does the "high-energy standby" mode not allow me to tap to join without turning the device and the need to turn it on with the button on the bottom?
(Talking at cross-purposes, power-cord vs. on-batteries.) Yes, the "high-energy standby" mode allows you to tap-to-join (or to start a source) just as if it were plugged in; that's the whole point of battery operation. But once it goes into low-energy standby, the top control becomes completely inactive. In that state, you could [Edit: *must*] [Edit: could, instead of pressing the Power button,] plug in the power cord momentarily, then unplug it to return to battery operation, which is what @StKong meant by "flick the switch". No, dragging the cord around doesn't make any sense to me, either -- except that I once got [Edit: always get] [Edit: once got] into a state where the Reset button [Edit: buttons] also did nothing, and the power plug was the *only* way to reboot the BS1. [Edit: Mine is a non-GVA Gen2, but I still think this is a bug that short-press Reset switch doesn't reboot the device when on battery, and will report it as such.] [Edit2: Oops, not a bug because on your GVA version a short-press of Reset is "overloaded" with the Mic-mute function. So no, only a short press on the Power button should power-up and a short press on the Reset button should do nothing, until powered-up. Sorry to be confusing because of my "limited view" of button functions given my non-GVA version.
But B&O could fix this by publishing a table in a *full-text manual*, rather than making us dig through scraps & little photo clips in the web-based tree of so-called "FAQ"s online!!!]
