Beocreate and analogue input

has anyone ever managed to connect an analogue source to a Beocreate PCB?

The only input on Beocreate is SPDIF. And the SPDIF should be volume regulated also. The only option I know is a Beosound Core.

Do you know any way that I could substitute a non working crossover pcb in a beolab 4000 with a beocreate pcb?
