Hi,

according to the B&O website the new Beo 4 (the one with the Joystick) uses B&Os IR frequencies and other frequencies and protocols, too!

Does that mean that the new Beo 4 is some kind of editable or programmable for 3rd party equipment like the the Beo 5 and Beo 6?

Could somebody explain it to me? :-)

I have wondered the same thing and posted a similar question here recently in a thread entitled Beo 4 frequency. The answer I got was that it is for use with Masterlink Gateway. I agree with you that the web page wording makes it sound as if third party equipment can be directly controlled by the Beo 4.

The easiest way to get beo4 to control other products is to use a converter box from Lintronic.
