I think it was never available in white. You need to get a grey one painted at a car painter...

In storage: Beolab 5000/Beomaster 5000 (1960s).
They were actually produced by B&O in white from 2008 until production ceased in 2012 according to Beocentral.

Hi, I heared both versions: White Beolabs 2 were never produced by B&O, only grey ones exist and they were repainted / They were produced but are really rare.
For me it doesn't matter what ist true, I already saw white Beolab 2 for example on ebay and would like to buy one; I fear buying a grey one and let it repaint: I am mecanically untalented and furthermore I don't know any good painters, who can disassamble, paint and build together the device.
There’s one in white right now listed at skynex. Saw it on his Instagram.

They do exist as original white. Just got one from my dealer. Smooth finish unlike the gray ones. B&O logo is a decal and not raised letters.
On BeoCentral you can see that the white ones were offered from 2008 to 2012. I have a black one, with raised cast logo :-). It must have put on a new coat in it's life sometime as this is not an official color. I bought it second hand like this, and it works fine. And the paint job is well done (could be a powder coat), even the sticker with the serial number was put back on. So if you really cannot find a real white one it can be done.
