Hello

My Beomaster 5  HDD is broken.

BO in Geneva is asking for 800 E (!) to repair. This is almost as much as a complete 2nd hand beosound 5.

Would you know any independ shops who could do it for less ?

I'm near Geneva so Swiss or French shops welcome.

Thanks

Christophe

Find your local P C repair shop.

Ask them to recover the HDD content and clone the disk if they can.

I assume you have a mechanical failure and not a software corruption failure.

Should be significantly cheaper

You should be able to do it yourself by swapping out the disk and using the Beomaster 5 software tool to re-create the disk. You’ll lose the music, but if you connect the old one to a PC, you may be able to get the E:(data) volume and copy the music from there.
