Hi all
I have a BV7-40 as above, it has worked flawlessly for years, switched on this morning all ok, changed channel, no picture just sound, same with more channels. Unplugged it, left unconnected for 5 mins, reconnected re booted tv still sound but no vision!
What are the potential probs, is it worth repairing(to me yes but realistically) Would it be a dealership job? I live in France , my nearest dealer is about 120miles away.
Thanks for any observations

No video works, and I don't think its the curtain as the problem started whilst channel changing on satellite box, the tv in solo mode, tuned to French tv exhibits the same prob!
Like the problem reported last week on a Mk5 BV7, looks like a backlight failure. The LCD panels of these TVs have LED strips located on the edge of the panel and these may burn over time.
There are videos on Youtube about LED strip replacement on Samsung panels.

The question is: are the B&O technicians willing to do the repair ? For a TV of that price, it is certainly justified.
I own a BV7-40 MkIII and it is still working well. Its LCD panel uses CCFL fluorescent tubes. These may also fail but can also be replaced by dismantling the LCD panel.

Jean
Bizarre, after trying various things I shut the system down and left it unplugged for a period,, rebooted and entered the pin on a black blank screen, tried various items of kit all to no avail, shut the system down from the remote, the stand returned to standby position, re sent tv signal and hey presto the system has been working flawlessly since!
I am at a complete loss as to the prob, maybe the brain got confused/disorganised, who knows, but now i'm a happy bunny again!!
