Hello.

I have a well function beosystem 7000.

Ihave set it up with my old beolink 7000 and the two way communication function normal.

I have bought another beolink 7000.

I tried to connect the "new beolink"7000 facing my beomaster 7000.

In the display ,no contact come up.I tried to remove my old beolink to another room and then tried again without luck.

I removed then all the audiosources-then store-then reinstalled thhe audiosources -then store but still no contact is remaining in the display.

The "new beolink 7000"does not function as a two way comunicator, just as a one way communicator.

Is there anybody out there which can help me solving this trouble.

If you don't know, you should probably let someone else do it. Where do you live?

You do need skills to do the job especially for the SMD caps under the tin can.

If you're not experienced enough let someone else do the job!

I put comments on each slide, 4 caps...

Ok, that's useful info, perhaps someone on the forum knows where you could go. As Leslie says, if you have no experience with this sort of stuff you should leave it to someone who does.

Thank you for your offer.

I will first try to contact some bang olufsen dealer here in Norway.May be they can repair the item.

I spoke to a bang olufsen seller in Oslo and he told me that i probably have to replace 4 or more caps(as you told me in beoforum)

He reommended too ,to replace a litium battery inside the beolink and at the same time set in a new blue display.

If they cant help me i hope i can come back to your offer?

Is i possible for you to replace caps, litium battery and the blue display???

Best regards

Sorry, never replaced the backlight thing but as you might know there is an excellent thread how to do that. I have ordered the materials but still need to do this job!

Hello again.

I have no discovered that my beolink 7000 is not av version 1631 but 1540.

I bought the item on the ebay and the seller announced it as av version 1631 .

I saw the description underneath the beolink when elevated.

I paid euro 365.

1)What is the main

difference between version 1540 and 1631.?

Is that the reason of ,no contact in the display facing my beomaster 7000.?

I have no user manual for the version 1540.There are some differences on the red display button

.Control has replaced the clock button.

2)Will rds work out?

3)Are the caps which have to be replaced different?

So long
