Hello Beofans I will move soon and I am looking for the complete packaging for the Beolab 1. This product is no longer available from the Manufacturer. Do you have a stock? Thank you in advance for your feedback, it would help me a lot. Alain
I believe they were cardboard boxes, I have never seen them.
I made two wooden boxes for them when I moved. I still have them.
What area are you in France ?
Hello, Yes it was cardboard packaging with polystyrene inserts (Watch the photo). I am close to Paris. Have you redone wooden packaging? Do you have pictures of your wooden boxes?

Yes Im usually in France but at the moment Im in Germany stocking up on beer in case there's another lockdown.
I am not back home for another week but Im too far south (30360) to be any help.
Probably the best way to move them is take off their stands and wrap them in a thick blanket then put them flat on a van floor.
Do you have to take them far ?
hi, could it be an option to find some large and strong paper tubes? maybe they would have them at a carpet shop? i would say that if you wrap them well (blankets or bubble warp) and slide them them into a cardboard tube (screw the feet off first) and then secure them from moving with more blanhets, you will have a low risk for damage.
Thank you for your feedback and ideas. I am doing a general move distance of 400km so the speakers will be in a truck with other equipment. I had already damaged a Beolab 1 speaker cover during a previous move and I had a hard time finding another speaker cover. In terms of size and weight, packaging is the most secure I think there must be someone who must have a Beolab 1 packaging set priced to give it to me or at a fair price!Alain
I think your best option is to rent/borrow a van and take them wrapped in blankets.
Even if you got the original cardboard boxes they would need to lie flat without stuff on top of them.
If you cannot find the original cardboard boxes, and are unwilling to personally move them separately, then they can be shipped with a lot of bubble wrap and cardboard. I had mine shipped ~1000 miles via UPS with custom wrapping. First they were wrapped with thin plastic wrap (to guard against scratches), then bubble wrap, then cardboard boxes, then a thick layer of newspaper, then more bubble wrap, then more cardboard boxes. I say "boxes" because the packager didn't have boxes of the correct size, but found some of a similar size, but not long enough, and taped them together to create a box of the correct size.
After traveling across more than 1/2 of the USA, I was walking out to meet the UPS guy to tell him to be careful unloading them, when, to my horror, I heard 2 very loud "WHAAAAP" sounds. When I walked around the corner of my house, I saw my boxes laying on my driveway. The UPS guy looks at me quite self satisfied and says "big tarps, right?". I just winced and "no, expensive stereo speakers".
Knowing people who have worked at UPS, this was probably not the worst handling that they were subjected to. UPS pushes their workers hard so they do not have time to be careful (regardless of what you write on the packaging). They throw packages because it's faster than carrying them. Even the final delivery guy basically threw them out of the truck.
Anyway, long story, but that was about 10 years ago, the speakers were already 10 years old at the time, and they still work fine. Maybe I was lucky, but they do seem to have a very robust build quality.
Cardboard tubes which are forms for pouring concrete to make pillars would work - they come in long lengths and different diameters. Wrap and tape bubble wrap for a snug fit. Remove the base first to keep the diameter reasonable. Then make a square top and bottom out of 1/2" or 3/4" thick plywood, large enough to connect them with four 1x1 boards that will protect the cardboard. This will make a rugged crate. Ensure there is a lot of padding on top and bottom that will keep the speaker from moving vertically.

Indeed even if the option of moving with the original packaging remains the best. Otherwise if I cannot find them I will follow your advice.
Hopefully someone will have this packaging in a garage or attic.

I think hopefully someone has a packaging of Beolab 1. Otherwise I would do an improvised packaging.
There is undoubtedly a benefit to this type of packaging. I am in France near Paris.
