Hi all.
I got hold of a very cheap "dead" MK1 Bs9000, where the dead issue was just because because of to much dust on glass and sensors.
But the PSU is doing some weird whine during different loads(glass door/cd playing/sledge moving).
It is not a constant frequency, it changes and can go up/down in frequency.
For instance if I power on, and starts the cd playing, the whine will start, and if I power on, it will slowly fade out until it almost goes away. Sometimes it is there during std.by but very low, and sometimes it goes away completely.
It does not sound like coil noise, but I have read about capacitor whine, which actually sounds plausible.
I cannot control the whine by tapping on the board under load.
Has anyone heard cap whine before ? And is this plausible ? It is hard to pinpoint where the sound is coming from on the PCB, but seems to be located around the middle of the board.
Any ideas ?
