Hi all,I've recently bought a vintage Beovision LX 5500 which seems to be in good state. The TV turns on and the Beolink 1000 works (I've made sure it sends a IR signal with my phone camera, all the buttons work). Right now I can only test it with a VCR player, but when I press the AV button on the remote nothing happens. What am I missing here? Should I expect something to happen whenever I press AV, even if the VCR is somehow not set up properly?
Thanks for your ideas!Seb
The AV button on the BL1000 does not select an input - it is for other functions in mixed Audio Video setups.
Try the V.TAPE button instead.
(But you may also need to go into the TV's setup menu to let it know what is connected)
Amazing, it worked! Thanks so much. I didn't even need to go through the menu. I'm now watching a VCR - in 2020. So exciting.
Separate question : does anyone now what's the best way to clean the greasy white panels on my Beovision? Is white vinegar my best option?
Thanks!
Great news - thanks for letting us know that it worked!
Hopefully someone else will be along in a mo with cleaning advice
