According to Beoworlds page about Beomaster 6500, it has the RIAA build in. But according to Beocentrals page regarding the Beogram 6500, it has the RIAA build in, not the Beomaster 6500. So which one is right?
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
Damn. Was looking a powerful beomaster with RIAA and thought I had found the perfect one.
If anyone has a good idea do let mo hear it :)
BG 6500 has a RIAA build in as standard. However BM 6500 has been prepared for a Build in RIAA module, as an option. P/N 8002956This 7 pin module has to be soldered onto the BM 6500 mainbaoard. The Mainboard has been prepered for this..
You might do as follows.Disconnect and bypass the RIAA inside the BG 6500:Disconnect the power to the RIAA, then jumper the L & R input on RIAA, and put a jumper tothe output on the RIAA.: You can see the wiring on the RIAA PCB (PCB no 4)No need to jumper the ground connection. Mute switch is still working.
