B&O in my life 😊:
Dyssegaard:The resent sw updates to M5 and other NL- speakers seems to have added this funtionality to both the Halo and the BR1 BT .

My Stage update to the 24 firmware yesterday. Nothing for the M3.
mbolo01:I guess this is related to remotes updates
I guess that is why the Moment isn't supported - there are no software updates planned for it. :(
I really want a stage for my bedroom and a Halo for the kitchen. But the Stage doesn't support Deezer which I listen to as I fall asleep every night, and the Halo doesn't support the Moment which I use all day long.
It's really a shame that B&O has given up on backward-compatibility. :( It was such a strength of theirs for so many years.

The Stage does support Deezer, just like any other NL-speaker!
My M5 have problems since the latest FW update (october 27). When I started M5 in the morning to join what is played on the other devices in the house the sound is super "choppy" during a minute and the goes silent. Its not possible to add using the app. Restart is the only solution. This has happened the two latest mornings. The list of "critical event" is super long. Pasted example what it looks below, from when I started the device this morning until I did the restart. I have reported to B&O support.

I thought the choppiness was a feature exclusive to the Moment. I guess B&O are rolling it out to the other NL products.
Dyssegaard: My M5 is on a cabled ethernet connection, and I have not experienced any problems since the sw update.

Good for you
I have been instructed by B&O support to disable the "Bluetooth Always Open", and been asked a few questions around my case. Will see what happens. Maybe I should connect with cable...

Works perfect!
mbolo01: What kind of WiFi network do you have? Mesh? 2.4 / 5 GHz ?
What kind of WiFi network do you have? Mesh? 2.4 / 5 GHz ?
No mesh. Two Unifi access points. M5 is on 5 GHz. M5 show excellent signal strength.
I´ve got tired and wired my M5 to Internet.
Checked the critical events list this morning, and this is what it looked like. Can this be normal?
Hiort:Can this be normal?
Surely not, I would consider a factory reset unless your wired connection is OK and you don't want to take the risk of such reset.
I have the same problem. Seems like there is network connection problems.
I have tried several factory resets. The issue keeps coming back. Next thing i will try is to reset my wifi at home to see if that causes the problems.
Before the latest update I didn't experience any problems or critical errors in the logs.
Any information or news regarding this problems?

Dyssegaard:New sw available for M5: 1.24.40905 I have installed it and it works just fine. I cannot see any changes so far to functionality or setup menues.
I have installed it and it works just fine. I cannot see any changes so far to functionality or setup menues.
I have also installed version 1.24.40905.
It appears to work fine, in general, and I have not experienced any network issues as mentioned by others.
I have noticed, however, that connecting to TuneIn stations fails sporadically. Maybe once every 5-10 times. I am not sure if this is related to version 1.24.40905, issues at tunein.com or issues at the streaming servers. It seems to fail randomly and not just for a single station. It works when the station is selected again. The device does receive the command as it stops playing and signals that it is connecting to another station. Reproduced via the B&O iOS app. The wifi connection is stable and the "critical event log" has only "TuneIn:" entries.

Hiort:According to support the issue are with Hq.

The Stage has built-in Deezer? Not just "Join" over NL or chromecast/airplay streaming?
The product page at https://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/speakers/beosound-stage lists only TuneIn under the connectivity section:
Integrated music services TuneIn internet radio
If it has Deezer, I'm buying one!

Dyssegaard:Version 1.24.41628 for M5 is available now (in Copenhagen). I have installed it, and as far as I can tell, there is no new funtionality. Hopefully it is a bugfix that will take care of your problems with the previous update. Have notification of a new firmware (1.24.41628) in the app now.
Will update and keep fingers crossed...
Hi Razlaw,
I am currently listening to that TuneIn station (s95144) on an M5 with v1.24.40905.

After B&O support confirmed receipt of logs from me and kept silent for 12 days I received the following:
"Thank you for reply. We're sorry to hear you're still having issues with your Beoplay M5, we've confirmed that this issue is related to the software and not the hardware of the Beoplay M5, we don't have an estimated time frame as to when we'll have this resolved as yet, we can assure you resolving this software issue is a priority for us, and we'll update you as soon as possible, we recommend you power cycle when this occurs as we don't have another work-around for it.We appreciate your patience & understanding, please, do not hesitate to contact us again if you have a doubt or another question."
I have continuously fed them logs during this time and explained what is happening.
Now I just keep my fingers crossed that they fix this. Thereafter I will shut of the automatic FW updates....
Sad news .... I would ask and insist to have the working version of the firmware made available for you to download and install the time they fix the issue. I have done that for my Core that is not working properly since March update.
