Will the attached transformer specs be good enough to replace the original BeoMaster 4000 type 2408?
Hi,
From an electrical point of view, this looks pretty much identical to the toroid I installed in my Beomaster 4000 eighteen months ago, details of which you will find (or have already found) on this site.
Your dimensions look similar to mine, but ensure you have enough vertical space to mount the new tranny as you will have to fashion/print a new support. If I remember right, the vertical dimension was the one where I didn't have much room to spare.
I incorporated a thermal cut-out in series with the primary winding and a heavy duty relay to preserve the vintage switch from the inrush current.
280VA is probably more capacity than you need, but I have been very happy with my completely noiseless conversion.

Did you check out options to try and treat the existing transformer as mentioned on the audiokarma forum and the diyaudio forums? Apparently humming transformers are not unique to vintage B&O Beomaster 4000 audio components. I have never tried that fix but it looks interesting.
