Hi, does anyone know how to replace the lid belt on a CD 3500 . The lid will not open . Still plays the cd inside perfectly.  Regards Martin Mawhinney.

Which is why I wrote "which is very similar if you concentrate on the lid motor part."
The only thing you need to skip is the part covering the replacing of the belts in the cassettedrive.

Have you checked that the DIN plugs have all 7 pins present?  If there are just 5 pins then then datalink commands cannot be sent to the CD or cassette.
