Is this an Avant mk1?

It looks like a video engine fault.

I'm guessing your apple TV is the 4k version as UHD video takes a different path through the video engine and can therefore be unaffected whilst all non-4k sources show this 'solarisation'.

Thank you for your reply.

I bought it end of 2014 so I guess it is the MK1 version and indeed the Apple TV is 4k.

Is there anything to modify in the settings or does it mean I have to get the video engine changed? During this official confinement time in France I’m afraid all B&O boutiques are closed Crying

I had the same issue, mine was also a Mk1.

It requires a new video engine. It is a "solarisation" issue.  And it seems it happens quite a bit on these TV's.  Mine cost about $2,400 AUD to fix.

I think B&O should really have issued a recall on these TVs and installed new video engines for customers.

Even with COVID lockdown perhaps you can contact your dealer / service centre so they know to order the part / book the replacement with you when things come out of lock down.

It's frustrating, and i was close to throwing out the TV and just going with something else.  Even though it was expensive, I still prefer having the Avant.

It will be 800 Eur to change the video engine. Still ok but disappointing that B&O did nothing about this known issue.
