Hi Beoworlders,
Is the item in my video the most beautiful product that B&O ever made? Or can you persuade me that I'm wrong..... Please have a look and see if you are willing to take up the challenge! https://youtu.be/jz-xXUohvmE
Kind regards, Steve.

I agree that your pick is a nice one. And one we rarely hear about for reasons unknown to me.However, my favourite would be Master 40S. This console model is simply one of the most beautiful and stylish radios ever produced.

Thanks Martin,
Please email me a photo of your system that best shows off its good looks and I will be pleased to feature this in my next video
Sorry, I can't do that.I own two of them and both are packed down in storage.
No problem Martin!
Hope you get the chance to enjoy them again soon....
CB:Difficult task indeed ! I would say Beo1 remote (wrote by mistake Beoremote 1 in the mail I sent you) And not far away, Beoremote Halo and Beotime (the flute one, not the clock), Beogram 3000 Record Deck Type 59xx also, and so many more...
I would say, as a recent follower of the brand, that there is no straight simple answer.
Beside old history, i (re)discovered the brand througt the Beovision Horizon and 14 which I found the most beautiful TVs in the world, and thus B&O product ever. Then I got a desirable Ouverture, that I use to find cheesy in the past and now urgently needed, swearing in that time that the BV6 was so ugly, but I now own one and love it.
When I looked after a turntable, I thought the 400X was so overstated against a fine sleek beautiful 120X, but now I'm chasing a 400X!
The Beosystems 5X00, 6500? "They touched me one without making the other move" (sorry). Now I'm struggling to complete a BS5000 because I like it.
Etc, Etc, Etc. So I would never say again (apart for the Harmony) I don't like the design.
And I rather say the most beautifull B&O product is the next you're interrested in. And maybe the BS9000 because it's unique.
I'd say the Beosystem 6000 – quadraphonic Beogram 6000, Beomaster 6000 4channel and Beocord 5000 – is unbeatable. The scrapped reel-to-reel version of the Beocord 5000 was a stunner too.
Beoplay A9 is so sculptural. I think I could have it in my room even if it would never play any music. <3

Tough choice indeed but another vote here for the BeoLink 7000. It doesn’t get anymore innovative than that, especially at the time. This was the product that I first saw as a young boy through a B&O dealer that introduced me to Bang and Olufsen, who have intrigued me ever since. Simon.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
.
Present: BL90, Core, BL6000, CD7000, Beogram 7000, Essence Remote.
Past: BL1, BL2, BL8000, BS9000, BL5, BC2, BS5, BV5, BV4-50, Beosystem 3, BL3, DVD1, Beoremote 4, Moment.
Ouverture, BS9000, TV Avant CRT
and BEO4
One thing that can be said for sure, is that B&O definitely changed their view on design over the years. Here the oldest and newest item in my collection side by side for comparison.
And Beotime isn't the worst looking product they've come up with. There's nothing like it.
The Beosound 9000 for me as well, followed by the Beolab 5s.
B&O in my life 😊:
Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Remember, said with respect, a lot of B&O users tend to have a bit of an 80s/90s design appreciation.
When I look at some of those older objects, particularly anything with shiny chrome, it just looks incredibly dated now, so has lost its 'beauty'.
For me, the Eclipse is actually quite a stunning object with the frame smoke oak grille. The BV14 was similarly stunning with an oak fret. You don't get anything like this in the industry, which is why we should appreciate the design.

Beolab 18

How can we possibly not in include the BeoCom 2? It's like having a Brancusi sculpture in the room.

That is a very striking picture! Please may I share this and include it with the photos to feature on my channel?
Of course, Steve.
Thanks Martin!
I have a silly one for you. Clearly items like the Beomaster 2400 , Beocenter 9500 and Beolab 8000 are all worthy contenders, buy one product that really showed me the way B&O felt about their products was the one I am going to suggest. The SP8 cartridge was a pretty standard SP cartridge although it was designed for the Beogram 3000 Thorens, a superb though not that beautiful a deck. What makes it stand out however is the box thait came in. A cardboard outer contained a beautifully made rosewood box. This was completely over the top and was lovingly made with properly jointed corners and a perfect fit. The slightly sad thing a dealer told me was that these were notrmally thrown out by the dealer after fitting the cartridge! I have had a couple - I gave one away but still have one and although the contained cartridge is useless to me as my 3000 has a different arm and bespoke cartidge, trhe box remains by my desk as a reminder of the craftsman who worked for B&O and their suppliers.
Peter
Here is the open box. The eagle eyed amongst you will notice the cartridge is an SP12 - rest assured the SP8 is back in it now but is in not quite a good condition!!
My pick would be the Beolab 6000. Timeless, simplistic and elegant in one package that could fit in in any home.
Thanks guys,
These are some great products. Peter, I was inspired by your choice and the reasons behind it - I will be looking at my B&O products in a different way now that I can see how much care has gone into some of them (would you be willing to email the SP12 photo to me please, so that I can share this?)

I love these. Saw one for sale once, but I missed the opportunity. Never saw them again for sale.
