To any owners of this combo.. how reliable is it in everyday use? I understand the units communicate over eARC HDMI, Ethernet and Bluetooth (remote), is it flawless as though it were one unit? Any glitches, issues requiring reboots/power cycles?
I also wonder whether the tv sound playing on the stage can be distributed to other speakers over NL using join?
Many thanks! Rob.

Thanks Miki. Can you distribute the TV sound to other NL speakers?
Mikipidia:Yes, but not for surround or any of that nature. It’ll have a slight delay
Reliability... well my dad has this set up and the stage freeze frome time to time. It means there is no control of the tv nor the stage. The thing is, it's not ony from the beoremote that control is lost, but the stage doesn't react to any presses of buttons on the unit itself either. Not even the on/off button under the trim, and the only way to reset it is to pull the power cord and reconnect it again. Haven't found any reference to this issue online, so probably a rare issue and might need to replace the unit.
"Edit: see my post on resolution below"
Mikipidia:Ah, sorry, yes only the multiroom products in another room are slightly out of sync with the video because of having to send it over the network. The stage and tv stay in sync no issue, what ever you do.
Can the headphone jack on the back of the LG be used as line out (fixed volume) simultaneously with the Stage do you know? I'm thinking this could be fed into a ML aux-in for distribution with no delay.

This is what worries me - it is also my Dad wanting this set-up who would not tolerate any software glitches. He is used to Masterlink which just works :)
I had this combo about a year - since the Stage came on the market - and used it daily without any glitches.
The only time I had to reboot it was due to an internet connection dropout caused by my internet provider rebooting my cable modem.
Was very happy with it.

Mikipidia: There is always a delay, NL/ML wired is 50ms and 250ms wireless. It’s not a lot, but if it’s in the same room you can notice it. If you use AP from your phone/ipad, the phone/ipad is the source and it’s fine. But if you specifically want to reroute the tv sound you can possibly notice it. And for the other question, i’ve had mine almost since launch and haven’t had any issues in all that time. I am super happy with it

Thank you for your help, and for the positive feedback.
Does your LG have the headphone jack on the back though? If it does would you mind plugging in a pair of headphones to see if they play at the same time as the stage? I am hoping there is no delay there on headphone out and that they play simultaneously.
In my Dad's scenario he is currently all masterlink, and does occasionally distribute living TV sound to say the kitchen beolab 2000. He does this via the line out of his Panasonic plasma going into the Aux of his beosound (masterlink), so if we can do the same with the LG/stage combo without the need of a NL/ML converter then even better!

It's a superb setup here. With the latest software, Stage now turns on first time (very rarely it didn't switch on with the TV when I first bought my GX).
My only issue is the lack of PUC, meaning some units can't be controlled, such as a Sky Q box.
Completely understandable!! My dealership kindly tested the headphone out on a contour for me at the weekend and unfortunately it turns the eARC HDMI audio off when the headphones are connected to the back of the LG screen.
Couldn't you put some kind of eARC audio extractor between the TV and STAGE, and then feed that analogue signal into your father's masterlink system?
Short update, and a positive one. I wrote in this thread above about an issue with the stage freezing completely.
I realised it is not a common issue as those usually show as bad reviews here and there. And everyone else writing above are happy with their Stage's.
After a change of wi-fi router, unrelated to the stage issue, but also proposed by the B&O dealer, my dad took the Stage back to the dealer and got a new replacement unit. It works perfect since.
So to the OP, go ahead with the Stage CX combo!
Very unlikely that you would get any thing else than a perfect unit and a wonderful TV experience.
