Beovox 800 Help - New to B&O

Hi all!

I'm brand new to the world of B&O, and I've just come into a pair of Beovox 800 passive loudspeakers.

I've been searching online, and this seems to be the place to ask for help! I'm trying to figure out the best way to get these speakers up and running. I was told they were in working order, so now I need to figure out how to plug them in and power them.

I've attached some photos below in case they are of any help. That being said, one of the speakers has a 2 pin DIN plug, and the other looks like it has a connection that could be connected to speaker wire, although there is no positive or negative marking on it. I assume both of these just plugged into a Beomaster.

What is the best way to get them plugged in and powered? Do I need to search for a vintage Beomaster, or can I get by with another amplifier for now? Also, what kind of hardware or connectors might I need to pick up in order to plug these guys in?

Any advice or recommendations would be really helpful. I can also provide more information or photos if needed.

They are nice vintage passive speakers.
Get a Beomaster from the 1960s or 70s to connect them to.
Beomaster 900, 901, 1001,1200, 1400, 1500...

Hi Martin,

Thank you for the answer! I'll keep an eye out for a Beomaster of the kind you suggested.

I did a bit of looking, and from what I've found it doesn't look like the beomaster systems have an output that fits the white speaker plug. Is there an adapter that would make it possible to convert it to a 2 pin DIN?

The Beomasters I mentioned all have DIN sockets that fits the DIN plug.
That's the "spade-and-pin" type plug (the only worldwide industry standard connector for home stereo speakers - everything else is non-standard).

The screw-type fitting is merely a way to connect bare wires.
It's most likely there because that speakers cable once went through the back of a cupboard or something similar, and the cable was cut to
fit it through and then put back together using that terminal.
