All, we mentioned on the podcast today, again, just how gorgeous BL18 is and given its iconic looks, how it is likely to charge onwards for years with no product changes made to it. Although it’s probably nowhere near end of life, it got me wondering—whenever it is replaced, what would I wish to see in a new version?
My gut says primarily just deeper bass performance. If they could enlarge the drivers to 4.5”, would the cabinet grow that much? I would probably accept a slightly thicker cabinet cylinder in exchange for more bass. I guess there’s no way to put in 5” drivers in a cylinder that would look lithe, huh?
What would you all wish for in the next BL18?

Or even an additional driver for three in total? Unsure if that would be better than two larger drivers or long-throws from the Stage.

Sounds like what we really need is the addition of a third driver AND use of long-throw drivers for all three. :)
