Perhaps the in-wall cable runs close to an AC power line (mains as they say around here) which is causing the interference.

Razlaw: If I end up using 9s as rears, I would prefer to not have to redo the in wall wiring so I had an idea. I can get a power link cable to one rear speaker totally hidden. So then I thought as daisy chaining to second speaker with old power link cable, I could use the in wall wiring to also daisy chain to the second speaker. When I tried that, both speakers buzzed.

If your left and right rear in the wall are NOT daisychained this solution will work.
The PL-cable (PL-mk1) to the right rear has a spare wire. That is the left signal which is the brown wire. The PL-cable to the left rear, same story. Here the right signal is not used, which is the green wire.
The spare wire goes to the pin where the blue wire (PL-mk3) normally goes. Off course this has to be done on both ends.
But this only works if the in-wall wiring is not daisy-chained. If it is, forget what I said.
I hope this makes sense..
Now I am not sure I understand..
Anyways, in your old situation, if there is only one powerlink connected at the rear-outs at your bv7, the rear must be daisy-chained in the wall. If this is the case, you definatly need to re-wire.
If there are two powerlinks connected at the rear-outs at your bv7, I will try to give some more details.
No, I meant how many powerlink-plugs are connected in your bv7, and then in particular the rears. One or two?
