leosgonewild:Beoplay H10 ?

I doubt that!
The collaboraration with Microsoft has been announced long ago.
The X will fit perfectly in there.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
So the Beoplay HX is getting a Dark Maroon Moment treatment,
And is seen in this video.
It looks like a upgraded H9, very subtle difference.
It was not the new gaming headset which I believed....

Well spotted! X as in 10 :-)
It seems very close to the H9... And there is already the H95, so it's becoming complicated to differentiate in the segment...

For me it's a H9 with new buttons on the left ear cup.
In my opinion it's gonna have the same control scheme as the H95, but on the touch sensitive surfaces instead of using the rotary wheels.
Both pads will be touch sensitive instead of just the right-hand side one like it's been from H7 until now.
I don't understand if the small lines are printed like the B&O logo or are laser engraved like the "grooves" on the H9 3rs Gen (which are not present on the H9/9i) on the right-hand side touchpad.
I hope they're gonna he built on a new hardware platform like A1 2nd Gen and H95 (Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX Adaptive), instead of using the same Bluetooth chip they've been using with H9, H9i and H9 3rd Gen.
Question: does anybody know why on one side they've got a "bull" logo instead of B&O logo?

Maybe it is a part from the new "year of the ox collection" ...

So the HX seems to land tomorrow. Odd, given it’s right ahead of Easter.
Ok, so th HX is now official.
Beoplay HX - Comfortable ANC over-ear headphones | B&O (bang-olufsen.com)
It seems to be the successor of the H9, for the same price as the H9, with more battery life, 4 mics instead of 2 (nice for home office), Microsoft/Google/Apple quick connection, BT 5.1 instead of 4.2 and adaptive noise cancellation instead of active noise cancellation, whatever it means (new algorithm...) and I forgot to mention : 3 years of warranty instead of 2!
Does it sounds like the H95? I don't think so but we'll have to test.
I just found the comparison table with the H9 :
https://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/comparison/products/headphones/beoplay-h9/beoplay-hx
I wish they had dropped the aluminium disk concept and gone for an all-metal housing of the internals like they did with the H95. But still a nice design overall compared to the H9 3rd Gen. I am curious about how much the sound has improved since the 3rd Gen, but after the H95 I cannot see myself go back. The HX are still an attractive 2nd option.
Really appreciate the 3 years warranty and that they got rid of the fiddly switch that cursed all the previous over-ear headphones from H7 to H9 3rd Gen.
Still haven't published the full user manual so it's not clear whether they have an "instant" transparency mode like the H9 3rd Gen (unlike the H95 which enter transparency mode gradually with the rotation of the wheel).
Here is a link to the first test of the HX:

N.B. Those of you, who don’t read danish, will have to use Google Translate, I guess ;-)

Thank you!
Takeaways from that review:
- to mute the mic in calls, you use the round button
- unfortunately, they don't have transparency with music pause like the H9 3rd Gen (music keeps playing when you enable transparency mode
I hope to be wrong on the second point.
leosgonewild:Finally it comes with a proper case.
Is there? I can't find any pictures, and the comparison chart on the B&O website only states "Now Including a Fabric Carrying Case". Did the H9 Gen3 not include the wonderful microfiber sack? I surely hope this doesn't just mean they're bundling the HX with the same old bag.
It is better than nothing, I suppose

The case is shown in the last photo on the website. It looks like it has some structure to it. Nice.
If you look at the pictures in the link, that I posted, you clearly see that case.

Ah yes, I see it now. "Now Including a Fabric Carrying Case" doesn't seem to be an appropriate description for what that is. Pretty neat

Unfortunately, confirmed they don't work in passive mode, just like the H95

Damn. That's one of the reasons why i didn't buy the H95 and I was looking forward to the HX(10) , so no HX for me
When i read the spec guide and it said
Inputs/Outputs "1.25 m audio cable with 3.5mm mini-jack for corded Connectivity", i was hoping this meant YES to PASSIVE MODE.
lawrencejmcook:It’s a shame that they’ve put a non-replaceable battery into this new headphone (as they did with H95). Especially after the emphasis they put on the replaceable battery of the Level.
Wow, I didn't saw that! That's a shame, and considering how the design has not evolved from the H9 and the battery is still rated at the same capacity, they put energy just to make it different with a non-replaceable battery. I was considering an upgrade, not anymore.
I would like to see how these compare to the H95.
Currently: BeoLab 17, BeoLab 18, BeoSound Core, Beosound Level, Beosound A1 2nd Gen, BeoPlay S8 Connection Hub, Halo, Essence Remote

Any pair of headphones without passive mode capability is a total no go for me. So I will stay absolutely happy with my H7s which sound great as I don’t give a damn about ANC. Sorry B&O you once again take the wrong turn.

Hello!
We have spoken on Reddit about this (battery availability for the H9 3rd Gen)
Do you know if the HX allow the same easy opening as H9 3rd Gen do?
Send a link to the thread pls, how to open them?
Please sent us a proof, can’t find any info about this. I only see your messages at the Reddit and other beoworld threads.
